Kagame li-a-ping — founder & chief executive officer
Kagame Li-A-Ping is an innovative young professional on the rise to help his community move forward in the financial empowerment movement. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Kagame was raised in a Caribbean community where the importance of fiscal responsibility was stressed daily. Kagame has long been a product of public service and corporate work. His experience ranges from working in the Controller’s Office for the City of New York and the New York City Department of Small Business Services, to a more corporate arena such as the Depository Trust Clearing Corporation and Morgan Stanley. Kagame received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance at Hampton University where he was deeply immersed in student life and engagement. Kagame has amassed a network of successful professionals in financial services and public policy in hopes of moving his professional agenda of moving communities of low-income, inequalities, and disparities to the next level by providing financial empowerment through knowledge and awareness. Kagame enjoys traveling, dancing, volunteering, and spending time with close friends. Kagame also holds a Master's Degree in Finance from The University of Baltimore.
taylor mason - chief community liaison
Taylor Mason is a graduate from Hampton University, where she received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. While at Hampton she was a part of many student organizations including the Student Recruitment Team & the Athletic Marketing Team. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Hampton University, she continued her education at American University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Masters Degree in Business Administration. Currently, she works for the Department of Defense under the Army branch where she is a Logistics Management Specialist. The field of activity encompasses functional planning, deployment operations, maintenance operations, procurement, coordination, and control of the movement of personnel, personal property, and materiel on commercial and military transport via rail, air, land, and sea. Her passion includes financial services, marketing, event planning and networking with other business professionals.
As Chief Community Liaison, Taylor will upkeep our positive relations within the community as well as forming partnerships with schools and other community organizations that will help us achieve our mission and fulfill our vision.
tyler ware - chief marketing officer
Tyler Ware received his Bachelors in Marketing from Hampton University. He is currently a Graduate Student pursuing his Master's in Sport Management at Brooklyn College and a Fall Student Associate with Marketing Partnerships at The Madison Square Garden Company. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Tyler's overall goal in life is: to make an impact. When given a task, he strives to go above the minimum and delivers the necessary skill sets and leadership to help achieve goals. Marketing, data analytics, sports and event management, and graphic design are both his passions and aptitudes. Community engagement and uplift matters the most to him, as displayed in his recent experience as a College Coach when lending a hand to his High School student's matriculation process and increasing the college acceptance rate. On his spare time, Tyler enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sporting events, e-sport gaming, and cooking.
